August Update - IDGAF

Recently I stumbled upon really nice philosophy abbrevited  IDFAF that probably can make me more extrovert. Turns out being extrovertic makes introverts happier  so it might be something really good for me. In last couple of months I started to care too much about what people think. Even my colleagues noticed that I was much more pessimistic and introvertic. It is time to try something new. July Update - Mindset

I would say that my mindset changed a bit last month. I am really inspired by creative work and I always try to create something on my own. Unfortunately, it backfires most of the time and I end up with something that is not working or just impossible to do in my spare time. After reading " learn game development like woodworking " and " Steal Like an Artist " I feel better just going after the book, write examples and copy (I'm doing exactly that with "iOS Programming" book). I feel free from the urge to create something innovative that most of the time just made me too much stressed to do anything... It's ok to copy and recreate existing app ideas, you're going to learn a lot from the process. The same rule applies to all kinds of learning. While reading "Decisive" I really liked story from chapter 3 "Multitrack" about Ads designers. Both test groups get same amount of feedback but first group get asked to create onl...

June Update

Project/Game At the end of May I wanted to try idea from "First 20 Hours" . Unfortunately I must admit that it didn't work for me. Probably because I didn't want to give up on everything else I was doing and because of 'emotional' problems that he mentioned. Basically fear of failing, anxiety. I'm not sure but it's my guess. So what I managed to do? Memrise: http://www.memrise.com/course/48407/upper-intermediate-english/ http://www.memrise.com/course/70773/advanced-english-7/ http://www.memrise.com/course/81764/english-months/ http://www.memrise.com/course/3093/advanced-vocabulary-2/  (not all levels) http://www.memrise.com/course/86390/gsp-gowny-system-pamieciowy-2/ I managed to keep up with words I already learned and practiced them whenever memrise asked me to recall them. Duolingo: https://www.duolingo.com/course/en/pl/Learn-Angielski-Online I'm at level 9 in english right now. I'm trying to practice every ...

December Update

This month I managed to finish: Watched all How To Draw videos on HowCast What was good in these series is to see how eraser can be used to draw :) Rating: 5/10 The Tree Butcher by Andrzej Pilipiuk This is really nice collection of 12 short stories. Andrzej Pilipiuk have endless ideas how history could have been, how aliens may live and even how magic may work. This is really good book:) Rating: 8/10 Tricket by Kevin Hearne In my opinion this is best book in a series so far. For sure it is the longest :) Fast and easy to read, it's hard to resist reading when you start so it's really good to read on holiday :) Rating: 8/10 Trapped by Kevin Hearne This one fortunately starts at the good time, but I think a little that this book could be better. Ending was unexpected but probably explains why next book is called Hunted ;) From me: 6/10. The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister. Autor: George R. R. Martin. This one is not really a ...
